SCHOOL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMSSchools in Mexico often lack basic educational supplies and resources. Because of generous donations from individuals and U.S. school districts, we have been able to assist the local schools in Porvenir by providing them with paper, pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons, markers, and Spanish reading material in addition to used computers and copy machines. Mission teams have helped by building a new multi-purpose room and painting the exteriors of the two kindergarten buildings, in addition to building a small country school when it burned to the ground. We also provide nutritious snacks to local schools. Serving children in this way leads to positive and trusting relationships with families and the community. Along with our commitment to raising the children at the orphanage, we are also dedicated to their education after they leave us at age 18. We are currently supporting three excellent students with their college education, two of whom grew up at our former facility. It is our hope and dream these young people will be able to use their education to be a blessing to others--just as others were a blessing to them. |

How to help Niños de Baja now!
The NdB Board of Directors voted to pursue acquisition of property contiguous to the lot where the new Intern house is located. It is a double lot with a house that can be expanded in the future, and it is for sale at a very good price. We decided to use $15,000 for the down payment against the $40,000 asking price, and either raise funds and/or seek a no interest, short-term loan for the balance. Any help will be appreciated.
